UV Printing & Coating
What is UV printing?
UV printing lays down ink that’s instantly cured with ultraviolet light, which lets us print detailed, full-color — even textured, raised "relief" — graphics directly onto hard surfaces. The result is far more durable than a sticker or standard inkjet print.
What can you print on?
Metal, canvas, magnets, license plates, servo cases, and more. If you have something specific in mind, ask — flat and lightly curved surfaces are usually printable, and we’ll tell you straight if something won’t hold up.
How durable are your coatings?
We don’t just spray and pray. Depending on the part, we sand, disassemble, and clean it multiple times, run off-gassing cycles and torch passes to activate the surface, and apply a high-performance adhesion promoter where needed. The cured finish bonds like powder coating. On coated servos, we cover chips, cracks, or lifting larger than 2mm×3mm for 90 days.
Why are some surfaces on coated servos left bare?
On purpose. We leave select surfaces uncoated on three sides of the assembly so the servo can shed heat properly under load. You get full UV protection and durability where it matters, without cooking the electronics.
Will the colors fade?
UV-cured inks are highly fade-resistant. For items living outdoors in direct Texas sun year-round, expect graceful aging rather than peeling or flaking.

How do custom servo graphics work?
Three ways to get a servo that isn’t one of our stock designs. Pick one from the Graphics list on any servo — there’s no separate product to add to your cart.

Every custom servo prints full CMYK at up to 1440 DPI. There are no forms at checkout — we email you after your order to get started, and production runs 6–9 business days from the moment you approve the proof.
What counts as “two changes” on Semi Custom Graphics?
Any two of: swap a colour, change a word to your nickname or social handle, move text around, or reword something. Combinations are fine — one word plus one colour, two words, or colour plus positioning.
What should I have ready for a custom servo?
Have this to hand when we message you and it’ll move a lot faster. Semi Custom Graphics — which of our designs you picked, and exactly what two changes you want. Bring Your Own Art — your artwork files, plus any notes on where you want things placed. Full Custom Graphics — photos of the rig it’s going in, a theme to aim at (cyberpunk, machined, graffiti, whatever you’re after), and any text you want included. For all three: hex colour codes if you’ve got specific colours in mind, and photos of your rig always help with matching.
Will you fix my artwork if it isn’t print-ready?
Within reason, yes. On Bring Your Own Art we’ll size and position your artwork properly on the servo surfaces, and scaling, contrast and edge cleanup are included. We’ll tell you if something won’t print well before we run it.
Can you print on something I send in?
Usually, yes. That’s our Bring Your Own Object service. If the part is rigid or semi-rigid, mostly flat on the print side, and roughly 16" x 12" or smaller, odds are good: RC truck bed and body panels, tool boxes, lids, plaques. Metal parts too. We stock an adhesion promoter that bonds ink to anodized aluminum, raw aluminum, and raw steel.
Add the Bring Your Own Object listing to your cart (it’s $0), check out, and reply to your order email with photos and dimensions. We’ll tell you straight whether it’ll print well and what it’ll cost, you approve a proof, and nothing runs until you’ve signed off.
One limit worth knowing up front: we don’t accept working electronics like servos or ESCs, because we can’t test them before they arrive. We will happily sell you one of ours with your graphics already on it.
How do custom magnets work?
Two ways to get a magnet that isn’t one of our stock designs. Both are variants on the 3D Texture Magnet; there’s no separate product to add.
Bring Your Own Art. Send us your image and we’ll fit it to the blank. Make it as high quality as you can: good lighting, sharp focus, as large a file as you’ve got. We’ll size and position it, and we’ll tell you straight if something won’t hold up before we run it.
Full Custom Graphics. Tell us what it’s for and we’ll design it. Team event, business, club, a gift. The more you tell us up front about theme, text, and colors, the faster it moves.
Either way we email you after checkout, you approve a proof, and nothing gets printed until you’ve signed off.
What size and material are the magnets?
Stock blank is a 3" x 3" square with rounded corners, composite material, with about 1.7mm of raised relief. Custom shapes, extra relief height, and sizes up to roughly 8" x 8" are possible; ask and we’ll quote it. Bulk discounts available on quantity.
How do I request a custom print or design?
Use the contact form and tell us what you’re imagining — the item, the artwork or idea, and roughly how many you need. We’ll reply with options, pricing, and a timeline, usually within 2–3 business days.
What file formats work best?
High-resolution PNG works great; vector files (SVG, AI, PDF) are even better for logos and text. Don’t have artwork? Describe what you want — design help is available for a nominal charge — we’ll quote it before any work starts.
Do you do small batches or one-offs?
Both. One-of-a-kind pieces are kind of our thing, and we’re happy to run small batches for clubs, teams, and businesses. No minimums. Bulk discounts kick in on larger runs — ask and we’ll quote it.
Will I see a proof before you print?
Yes — for custom work we’ll send a digital proof for your approval before anything gets printed. Note that slight sizing, spacing, or color variance between pieces and batches is normal for hand-finished work.
How long does custom work take?
Typically 6–9 business days from proof approval, depending on complexity and batch size. We’ll give you a real estimate up front and if anything changes, you’ll hear it from us first.
RC Servos
What’s your servo warranty?
BOCO RC servos carry the Buy Once Cry Once lifetime gear set warranty for the original owner, plus one year of electronics coverage.
1Tenth Servos carry a 1 Year electronics and gear warranty for original owner.
Coated graphics are covered for 90 days against chips, cracks, or lifting larger than 2mm×3mm.
Do I need a special BEC or ESC?
For high-torque servos, usually, yes — a strong BEC matters. Our biggest servos can draw 7A+ fully loaded, which can brown out RTR ESCs with weak built-in BECs. Compatible options include the Mamba X, Monster X, and certain Hobbywing ESCs — check your ESC’s specs before you buy. A glitch buster capacitor can help, but a proper BEC is the real fix.
Are your servos waterproof?
Our premium servos are IP67 rated. If you submarine your rig for extended periods, pop the bottom plate afterward and let the servo air dry — cheap insurance for the electronics.
Which servo is right for my rig?
Torque, speed, and voltage needs vary by build — each product page lists full specs at 4.8V through 16.8V. Direct Power or BEC powered... Not sure?
